Arrawatta Station

A Natural Home for Native Angus
Arrawatta Station, on the New England Tablelands of NSW, is the home of our Native Aberdeen Angus herd. The region’s cool climate, fertile floodplains and rocky hill country closely resemble the landscapes where this breed first evolved. It's a natural fit that allows these heritage genetics to thrive.

Restoring the Land
When we arrived at Arrawatta Station in 2020, the property had been heavily farmed and neglected for some time. Half of the station’s 5,000 acres are black-soil floodplains, while the remainder is native pasture and rocky outcrops. Sections of the land also form part of the endangered yellow box eucalyptus grassland ecosystem.
From day one, our focus has been regeneration. We have worked to rebuild infrastructure, restore soil health and bring life back above and below the ground. By improving water infiltration, replanting pastures with diverse species and using biological inputs, we are creating a healthier, more resilient farm.

Our Cattle
Our cattle are not just part of the station, they are active participants in its renewal. Their hooves, grazing patterns and rumens all play a role in cycling nutrients and nurturing the pastures. With time and care, this balance strengthens the land while supporting the herd’s natural growth.

Farming with Purpose
Everything we do at Arrawatta Station is guided by transparency and respect for nature’s processes. We raise our cattle more slowly than industry norms, giving them the time they need to mature at around three years of age. This approach not only honours their heritage but also produces beef of exceptional flavour and quality.

Native Angus Beef Shop
Native Angus Beef is the final link in this story. By bringing these cattle direct to Australian families, we are helping preserve their rare genetics while offering a nourishing, flavourful food source that reflects the land it comes from.
