Health & Nutrition

Good food starts with how it’s raised
At Native Angus Beef, we’re mindful of what goes into our bodies and how the food we eat is produced.
We raise our cattle the way nature intended: on pasture, without grain, growth hormones or unnecessary inputs. It’s better for the animal, the land, and for you.
We’ve also had our beef independently tested, so you can feel confident in the nutrition behind every cut.

Proven Nutritional Quality
Native Angus Beef is 100% grass-fed and finished, which means it naturally contains more of the nutrients your body needs and less of what it doesn’t.
Independent testing by BVAQ, a leading Australian food laboratory, confirmed that our rib fillet has an omega-3 to omega-6 ratio of 1:2 - a healthy balance that supports long-term wellbeing.
By comparison, grain-fed beef often shows a ratio closer to 1:15, meaning far less omega-3 and significantly more omega-6.
Why this matters
Omega-3s are known to support heart and brain health, while excess omega-6, which is common in processed foods and grain-fed meat, has been linked to inflammation, heart disease and metabolic issues.
Our testing also found up to 9.3g of CLA per 100g of beef - more than three times the amount typically found in grain-fed beef. CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) is a naturally occurring fatty acid shown to help reduce inflammation and improve insulin sensitivity. Pasture-raised beef and dairy are some of the richest natural sources of CLA available.
Native Angus Beef is also a good source of vitamins A, D, E and K, all of which play a role in energy, immunity, and overall health.
And because our beef is raised without synthetic inputs, grains or hormones, there’s nothing in it that doesn’t belong.

How Our Cattle Are Raised
All of our cattle are born and raised on Arrawatta Station, our family property in Inverell, northern NSW.
We use regenerative grazing practices to care for the soil and encourage biodiversity. Our cattle move across fresh paddocks throughout the year, grazing on native grasses with space to roam and rest.
There are:
✘ No feedlots
✘ No grain rations
✘ No quick-finishing systems
✘ No added hormones, synthetics or antibiotics of any kind
Just clean pasture, good management, and hands-on care.
We also oversee the journey from paddock through to packing and shipping. That level of traceability matters to us, and we know it matters to our customers too.

Everyday Support for Wellbeing
Our beef is more than a source of protein. It naturally contains:
- Iron
- Zinc
- B vitamins
- Healthy fats
- Fat-soluble vitamins
These nutrients support:
✔ Steady energy
✔ Mental clarity
✔ Hormone balance
✔ Immune function
✔ Muscle recovery
✔ Fat metabolism
Every cut of our beef reflects the health of the land it was raised on. By choosing pasture-raised beef, you’re not just enjoying great flavour. You’re giving your body access to a healthier balance of fats and a more nutrient-dense source of protein.
Many of our customers tell us they simply feel better when eating our beef.
If you’re thinking more about what’s on your plate and how it supports your long-term health, the answer might be simpler than you think. It starts with better beef.
